About Us

We are a privately owned New Zealand company established in 1980 by professionals working in the health industry. The principals founded the company with a core philosophy to take the skills acquired from their previous careers with healthcare multi-nationals and incorporate these in a more focused, flexible and responsive environment.

The founding Directors were the backbone over the next 30 years of growth and development of the InterMed company and organization. In January 2008 the Board added significant commercial resource with the appointment of Nigel Arkell as independent Chairman. From October 2011, InterMed has reached another milestone with the long time two family ownership being consolidated under the Weston interests.

Over the last 30 years we have earned the respect of the healthcare industry as a supplier of quality products and provider of professional services selling into both public and private hospitals and private clinics and to specialists, doctors, and surgeons. The focus has always been on quality and service.
